At Edgewood, we maintain strict protocols to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff. It is our highest priority. We want to assure our community that while we currently have no cases of the flu or Coronavirus (COVID-19) on campus, we want to keep it that way.
The government strongly recommends there are to be no gatherings of 10 people in any area. In light of this recommendation, we are canceling all in-person programs and meetings.
In order to proactively prevent the spread of infection, we are enforcing visitor restrictions on the Independent Living side of Edgewood. There is no visitor access to either the Meadows Health Center or the Woodlands Inn. The only exception to this restriction is in end of life situations.
Staff who enter our facility, will be required to be screened and their temperature taken daily before being allowed inside any of our buildings. They will also be required to maintain proper social distancing from residents and fellow staff members.
Since the start of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have followed guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on how to control and prevent the spread of the virus.
We are in touch with all our residents and have staff on hand to answer any questions and keep families informed. All the measures that are in place are to prevent infections from coming into our community.
As always, the health and safety of our residents and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor new developments as they relate to the Coronavirus and we will continue to send out updates accordingly.
