At Edgewood, we continue to maintain strict protocols in accordance with the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), to ensure the health and safety of all residents and staff at all times.
Eight weeks ago, we implemented a no-visitor policy for the entire community. The only exception to this restriction has been in end-of-life situations.
While Edgewood residents have been very receptive to the virtual activities and programs shared on our Edgewood TV channel, and have enjoyed using video-conference technology to communicate with friends and family, we understand how critical it is to have connections with loved ones during this difficult time. Therefore, we are currently providing alternative ways to safely integrate visits back into the community and we are communicating those plans with residents.
We continue to take appropriate measures to screen all staff each day before they are allowed to enter any of our buildings. They are also required to wear masks and maintain proper physical distance from residents and fellow staff members.
As always, the health and safety of residents and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor new developments as they relate to Covid-19, and we will continue to send out updates to our residents.
While this has been a challenging time for all of us, we thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
