We are pleased to announce that all Edgewood staff members and residents of The Meadows Health Center and The Woodlands Inn Memory Care and Assisted Living have had the opportunity to receive both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. In addition, Edgewood’s Independent Living residents will receive their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on March 5. Thanks to this progress, we’ve resumed most normal operations (at reduced capacity to maintain proper physical distance) of our vibrant community!

The main dining room is open to residents for dinner service, however, residents who prefer to have hot meals delivered to their apartments or cottage homes will continue to have that option. Edgewood’s goal is to begin opening the community to visitors by the end of March.

We continue to take all other suitable measures that include screening staff each day and requiring everyone to wear masks and maintain proper physical distance while inside and outside on the property.

At Edgewood, the health and safety of our residents and staff will always be our top priority.  Senior Leadership, Department Heads, and members of the Board of Trustees will continue to watch our state’s response to the pandemic, and update protocols as necessary, following the latest guidelines from Centers for Disease Control, Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

While this has been a challenging time for all of us, we thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we look to a hopeful 2021.
