Pianist and Steinway Artist Jenny Lin will present a solo concert featuring scintillating works from her recent recordings such as “The Piano Etudes Project” and the complete Nocturnes of Frederic Chopin. Highlights of her program will include music by Debussy, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, and Chopin, as well as recent compositions by the iconic American composer, Philip Glass.
Praised by the Washington Post as “One of the most interesting pianists in America”, Jenny was born in Taiwan, raised in Austria, studied in Geneva and Baltimore, and makes New York City her home. Renowned for her subtle touch, commanding technique and adventurous programming, Jenny has toured all over the world as a recitalist and soloist with international orchestras, with over 35 recordings to her credit. Since 2014, she has joined Philip Glass in his ongoing world tour of his Piano Etudes. Her most recent release include the Complete Piano Etudes of Philip Glass and complete Nocturnes of Frederic Chopin, all on the Steinway & Sons label, as well as Melody’s Mostly Musical Day, an album following the adventures of an imaginative little girl, from breakfast to bedtime, told in 26 effervescent songs, all in a lovely collection of classical piano works.
