There are three major and one smaller Jewish denominations in the United States today; Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist. What do these religions have in common, and how are they different from each other? What are the religious practices of each group? What is the difference between Modern Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox? What is the history and demographics of these Movements, and what is the apparent future for each of them?
About Our Speaker:
Dr. Michael Sandberg, a retired physician, was raised in a traditional Orthodox Jewish Home. As a young adult he belonged to a Conservative Congregation, and later belonged to a Reconstructionist community. He continues to attend Jewish religious services at various congregations in the Greater Boston area, while also belonging to a Unitarian Church.
