Jim Porcella grew up in Medford, MA, playing drums at the age of 14. While attending The Berklee College of Music in Boston, he began performing throughout the New England area. During his vocal career, Jim has produced seven critically acclaimed CDs, and has performed in renowned jazz and cabaret venues throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. He was the featured vocalist at Boston’s famous Rooftop at the Ritz Carlton and the prestigious Bay Tower Room, as well as with the Artie Shaw Orchestra. Jim is the leader of his own swing band, Bombay Jim and the Swinging Sapphires, and the 3 Swingin’ Tenors.

“Tribute to the Greatest Generation” features the Big Band Era and The American Standards, including tunes originally recorded by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Bobby Darin, as well as Big Band tributes to Glen Miller, Harry James and Jimmy Dorsey.
