Do you remember the introduction of Tupperware? Recall gathering around the radio?

If so then join us for “Remembering Home”, a workshop designed to stir up conversations about home, housework, food, entertainment and communication. For one man, a pair of ice tongs produced visions of summer days when the delivery man doled out ice chips to the neighborhood kids.

At the end of the workshop some of these memories are preserved in personalized ‘I Am From’ poems – a creative writing activity, which yields vivid imagery.

Historic New England is the oldest, largest, and most comprehensive regional heritage organization in the nation. It is a museum of cultural history that collects and preserves buildings, landscapes, and objects dating from the seventeenth century to the present and uses them to keep history alive and to help people develop a deeper understanding and enjoyment of New England life and appreciation for its preservation.
