For the past twelve years, Richard Hughes has compiled many silent movie scores taken from authentic ‘mood music’ that was played during the 1920’s. This music enhanced the movie scenes by making them ‘come alive’ in the third dimension. “The Freshman” starring Harold Lloyd: In 1925, colleges captured the hearts of the younger generation with their fraternities, college songs and football games. Harold – the eager beaver type – found out the hard way how upper class men treat freshmen. Determined to be popular, he tries out for the football team. Somehow, he wins the big football game and the girl and becomes the new big man on campus. Let’s root! Root! Root for Harold!
