Plants and animals have evolved amazing survival strategies to cope with freezing temperatures, such as those we have experienced this winter. Our evening presentation will highlight hibernation, migration and resilience, the three tactics to survive a cold New England winter.

Scott once again brings the outdoors indoors for us. He is a teacher-naturalist at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield where he has been leading education programs for Mass. Audubon since 1999. He is also Director of the Ipswich River Day Camps and coordinates the sanctuary’s volunteer nature guide program, training adults in natural history interpretation. Scott has led Audubon trips throughout the US and beyond.
