The Horizon Duo play the hits of yesteryear and encourages audience members to sing-a-long. Ray Novack and Joe Brogan perform selections from the Roaring ’20s to the Rat Pack and everything in between — even some Elvis! They are also happy to take any requests.

Novack, keyboards and vocals, grew up playing piano, accordion and guitar in Malden, MA, and formed Horizon in the early ’70s as a teenager. He majored in Music Education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, taught music for 35 years in the Beverly Public Schools System and now works part time at Endicott College teaching its jazz band. Novack has performed at more than 1,700 weddings and functions over the years.

Brogan, clarinet, sax and vocals, holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, and a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Boston State. He is the past Director of Fine Arts, Dedham Public Schools, and has taught in the Southbridge, Ipswich, and Dedham Public Schools. Brogan is the current Director of the Babson & Olin College Jazz Ensembles. He has numerous solo and recording experiences in classical, jazz and popular music.
