Edgewood Auditorium
575 Osgood Street
North Andover, MA

Mr. White returns to continue the discussion from his last visit in February. We left off last time with a discussion of the nature of the terror threat associated with the Syrian conflict. We will discuss the various actors in the Syrian conflict, including the Islamic State, Jabhat al-Nusra, Hezbollah, the Kurdish YPG and others, all of whom may or may not be considered terrorist organizations depending on your point of view. We will focus on which groups pose a threat to the United States. Jay White was a Special Agent for the FBI from 1984 to 2006. From 1984 until 1988, he investigated public corruption matters in Las Vegas. For the next 13 years, he investigated public corruption matters in Boston. He spent the last five years as an FBI agent investigating terrorism matters as part of the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Boston on a Sunni Extremist Squad. Jay was also the acting Supervisor of the Public Corruption Squad in 2002.

Mr. White is an adjunct professor of criminal justice for Bay Path University and Northern Essex Community College.
