sue pic-e4f98022Sue joined Edgewood in January and will be serving in a new strategically oriented role as Director of Human Resources.  In this position, Sue will be focusing on Edgewood’s number one asset – the employees.  She is excited to serve Edgewood’s important human resources and employee needs.  “It was Edgewood’s values-based leadership, compelling vision and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people – Edgewood’s residents and their families and employees and their families” that Sue shared was the reason for wanting to be part of the Edgewood team.

Sue comes to Edgewood with over 20 years of human resources management experience.  Most recently serving as a Senior Leader and Director of Human Resources in higher education – directing human resources for a multi-state, non-profit educational organization located on the North Shore.  Areas of focus have included employee relations, employee recruitment and retention, performance management, customer service, employee training and development, benefits and salary administration, policy development and legal compliance and aligning human resource programs with an organization’s mission and strategic objectives.  With an educational background of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Management with a specialization in Human Resources Management, Sue brings expertise to our people and the processes that support them.

Together with Edgewood’s Senior Executive and Leadership teams, Sue looks forward to advancing Edgewood’s mission of “empowering seniors to be architects of their own well-being”.  The privilege to be part of residents’ lives, serve as an internal consultant for managers and be a resource and advocate for all employees, was an opportunity that Sue indicated was too exciting to pass up.
