SENIOR FITNESS AND WELLNESS | ACTIVE AGING | NORTH ANDOVER, MA
Embrace active aging for mind, body, and spirit.
Today’s understanding of active aging is about fully engaging with life and pursuing wellness in all its forms. That’s why right here on our campus you’ll find myriad ways to move and strengthen your body, improve balance and flexibility, and practice meditation and mindfulness. You’ll also find the acclaimed Edgewood Lifelong Learning program, art classes, clubs, volunteer opportunities, and other activities that will help keep your brain on its toes. Plus, while you’re moving, learning, and participating, you’ll be making new friends and engaging in stimulating conversation — all of which leads to an active, fulfilling, well-rounded life.
“It’s a wonderful place to meet new people. If you’re able, you can get involved in more things than you ever thought you’d be able to do. In my life, I never thought I’d be in a pool on Sunday playing beachball volleyball. Just put yourself out there, try new things, and you’ll be surprised how much living here will add to your life.”

Outdoor Fitness
Go outside and play.
Edgewood’s campus on more than 100 acres adjoining conservation land and scenic Lake Cochichewick is a year-round playground for those who like their fitness with a side of fresh air. Plant your own fruits, vegetables, herbs, or flowers in a raised garden bed. Go for a bike ride. Join an outdoor walking group and take advantage of paved paths or take a hike on the North Andover Trail System that traverses our campus. Head down to the lake for some kayaking, canoeing, or fishing. And, in the winter, don your snowshoes and go exploring. There’s virtually no end to the opportunities right outside your door.
CLUBS AND INTEREST GROUPS
Explore an interest, make new friends.
Clubs and interest groups at Edgewood are a great way to learn something new as well as to share an interest or skill you already enjoy. We maintain a full calendar and, with all the active, educated, and talented people in our community, you’re sure to find a group (or two!) that piques your interest.
